We give trusting our all-sufficient, abundantly gracious God who is able.

Read 2 Corinthians 8:9 and discuss the believer’s motivation for giving. 

 

Read Mark 12:41-44. Compare and contrast the main characters of Jesus’ teaching: the rich and the poor widow.

-Describe the manner of giving for each of the main characters.

- Which of the main characters does Jesus praise for their gift? What criteria does He use for making this distinction? 

-How do the examples of the rich and the poor widow challenge you? Encourage you?

 

Read Matthew 6:1-4. What is Jesus’ instruction for giving? Why would He give this instruction?
