Faith In Jesus Leads Us To Hope In God’s Promises (Phil. 3:13-14)
Faith In Jesus Leads Us To Expect Suffering (2 Tim. 3:12)
Faith In Jesus Leads Us To Persevere Through Suffering (Rom. 8:18)

Faith In Jesus Leads Us To Look To Jesus (Heb. 12:1-2)
APPLICATION
Know: Jesus is the founder and perfecter of our faith. Memorize Hebrews 12:1-2.
Feel: Hope through suffering. Don’t be surprised (1 Peter 4:12), faith in Jesus leads us to expect suffering. Set your hope beyond the circumstances of the day. Consider 1 Peter 4:1–2, [1] Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, [2] so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.
Do: Encourage family and friends who are experiencing devastating hardships with the hope of the gospel.
Want: Meditate on Matthew 6:33, Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Each elder conversation will look at one individual: what’s their story? Why is their faith exemplary? What can we, today, learn and take away from their faith?
